How To Make Sure Your Wedding Goes As Smoothly As Possible

1

A woman’s wedding day is something that many women dream about for years before it actually happens. For many women who have been married, they can tell you that their wedding day or days leading up to the wedding do not always go as planned. If something can go wrong it is important to plan for it as it will more than likely happen on your wedding day of all days. Even the best wedding planners and the most detailed oriented brides can leave themselves scratching their heads during a wedding day debacle. The following are tips that will help you make sure that your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible.

Seating Charts Could Not Be Stressed Enough

There are going to be people from all walks of life that you are going to invite to your wedding. This does not mean that you should make them all mingle as college friends might tell an inappropriate story to your dear old aunt Sally. This is not the time to prove that you are still friends with a college boyfriend by sending them an invite. This day is not about making anyone else happy but yourself and the person you are going to marry. Keep those people who might get a bit rowdy at a table away from where people will be giving speeches and so on. Take the time to review this chart as your significant other might not realize who does not get along.

Keep A Backup Venue or Minister Just In Case

There have been plenty of horror stories that have to do with the venue burning down or overbooking. This can leave a bride scrambling to find a venue that can provide food and a place for the reception in less than a week. The minister or person who is presiding over the wedding ceremony tends to have a great personal relationship with the couple being married. For this reason, it is still important to have a backup as the person could become ill or have a family emergency that keeps them from attending. To be honest most people know more than 1 person who is qualified to perform wedding ceremonies. All you have to do is ask! The wedding venue is the most important factor though so put this as a top priority.

Destination Weddings Are Overrated

The popularity of destination weddings has grown immensely with plenty of travel websites having great deals on hotels and flights. To be completely honest these weddings can be a huge hassle and a logistical nightmare for your guests. A destination can be difficult to reach with limited flights being available. The issue of direct flights can make it an all day ordeal for your guests to get there. The positive aspect of this is that many foreign hotels depending on the destination can be extremely affordable even if you reserve the honeymoon suite. Keep the wedding in an area where a majority of the guests will be to make it most convenient.

As you can see these are just a few of the many details that you have to think about leading up to the wedding. Be proactive and take care of as many details as you can as long as they are in your control. Enjoy your wedding day as it is a day you will remember for the rest of your life.
