When you’re sitting by the fire drinking your hot chocolate and warming your feet by the fire, it’s hard to imagine a better feeling. Unfortunately, the warmth and joy of a good fire is what 500,000 Americans are missing this time of year. In the united states the homeless population is usual overlooked. It’s almost December and its only getting colder. Many of our homeless population lack not just a home but something you and I take for granted. It’s an item we use almost daily with little thought, socks.
Duraflame recently started their #firesidefootie campaign. It’s a great campaign that is helping to warm the feet and hearts of many homeless. For everyone that can I would love to see you join this movement, it is the holidays after all. It will only take a few minutes of your time. All you have to do is:
1. Snap a photo of your feet in front of a cozy fire
2. Upload the photo to our Instagram page @duraflame
3. Post using the hashtag #firesidefootie
4. Tag @duraflame, @gotta_have_sole_
