No parent brings a baby home from the hospital without a teeny tiny bit of reservation. I’m sure that first time parents are a little more worried than those who have gone through taking care of an infant before – BUT all parents worry. We worried with our first baby and each one there after (we brought 9, thankfully healthy, babies into this world). How I would have loved the comfort of having a Snuza® Go with each of them!
The Snuza® Go easily attaches to baby’s diaper or pants. It is light weight (just 40g) and the soft tip detects the vibrations of your baby’s breathing /movement. Parents can set the monitor to 15, 18 or 20 seconds. If no movement is deleted for the set length of time, the monitor will alert adults. The Snuza® Go does not use any cords, wires, pads, or external power. The unit is made of medical grade polycarbonate FDA approved thermoplastic-elastomer, and liquid silicone rubber.
Why monitor baby’s movement? SIDS – Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. SIDS is the leading cause of death in children up to one year of age. According to the Children’s National Health System SIDS takes the lives of 2,500 children each year, in the US alone.
About the Snuza Go!
Snuza® Go! Baby monitor is a wearable clip-on baby monitor, which is attached to baby’s diaper, ensuring normal abdominal movement is maintained. The ultra-sensitive flexible tip is a vibrating movement monitor, designed to detect the slightest of movements. If no movement at all is detected for a period of 20 seconds, Snuza® Go! will emit an audible alarm to alert you. The 20-second period can be reduced to 15 or 18 seconds if preferred. Snuza® Go! will also alert you if your baby’s movements are very weak or fall to less than eight movements per minute. The Snuza® Go! can pick up external movements and it is therefore not suitable for co-sleeping babies or when bed-sharing. It is advisable not to use the Snuza® Go! when the baby is in motion, e.g. in a car seat or a stroller
