How Do Cannabinoids Do What They Do?

Cannabinoids are compounds that when consumed bind to our receptors which are in the peripheral and central nervous systems. The latter referring to the spinal cord and brain. The latter system is accounted for signals from the brain to the body, and vice versa.

In this phase, the CO2 is infused with plant matter. The procedure dissolves the matter, leaving the extracted CBD. This CBD is pushed down into the separating origin, in which the pressure changes.

This allows the oil to separate from the purified CBD isolate. This process is considered the highest-quality because it does not employ the use of carcinogenic compounds. Once the CBD is extracted, it is the full-spectrum state, which has all of the nutrients and cannabinoids together.

To make the CBD isolate, the process of decarboxylation and winterization is employed. Some people simply buy bulk CBG isolate powder instead of going through this process.

Winterization

In this process, the full-spectrum oil submerges into alcohol. After a while, it reaches a frozen state. This process removes the terpenes, plant matter, and waxes stored in the oil.

Decarboxylation

In this process, the CBDA and THCA are subject to intense heating. This turns the passive form of these compounds into the bioactive components of CBD and THC.

Through this process, THC entirely eliminated and depleted. Thus, leaving only the CBD intact.

Can You Overdose On CBD Isolate?

As with anything in life, an overdose is plausible. If you take too much of something, you will overdose. 

For instance, if you drink too much water in a short amount of time, you will place your kidney in harm’s way. The same goes for CBD, but only if you consume overbearing amounts.
