Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope and Star Gazer’s Activity Journalo- Under the Tree This Holiday Season

Sophie is at the age of discovery. She is so analytical for her age. She wants to know how and way things work and do the things they do. In school, she thrives in science. As a parent, I love to encourage her to seek and discover new things, ideas and educated herself in fun and creative new ways. Honestly, I’ve found that most Science kits on the market are gender bias, typically reaching out to the male counterpart rather than the female. Is this not the twenty-first century? Are women really still fighting to be noticed! Thanks to Nancy B’s Science Club girls are now getting a fair shake in the science kit market! I don’t know what Sophie will focus on when she enters adulthood, whether it be a science related career or a stay-at-home mom, she will most certainly have a CHOICE!

While most kids ask for video games or dolls for Christmas, Sophie ask for science kits. And even though the packaging is typically marketed to the boys, we still purchase them for her. And we only do this because of her thirst for knowledge. She recently received the Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope and Star Gazer with an Activity Journal and she was thrilled to see the package was geared toward girls!

We’ve been using it every night to look at the stars and work though the 22 page Sky Gazer’s Activity Journal. It gives us girl time too! I know Sophie is growing fast and will one day leave the nest. I love the fact that she still wants me by her side and loves showing me what she is discovering using the MoonScope.
