Kids toys are evolving nowadays. It seems there is always something new and cool that is capturing kid’s interests. If at all possible I love to have toys to challenge my children and expand their minds and creativity. I want my children to interact with their toys not just control them. Wonder Workshop has done a great job making that happen. I am always looking for something cool, and let’s be honest robots are awesome.

Dash and Dot are the new robots for young children from none other than Wonder Workshop. Dash is a real robot ready to play out of the box. Responding to voice, navigating objects, dancing, and singing. Dash is easy to use right out of the box and comes with a charging cable and two brick connectors. The connectors allow you to build onto Dash with LEGO, Technic, Mega blocks, and bricks from other popular building sets. Dot is the brains of a robot. Dot comes with several games you can play right out of the box, such as Magic Dot Ball, Dot of Music, and Light Sword. Dash and Dot are fully programable using apps for Andriod and iOS. All of them are free to download and easy for children to use.

My kids couldn’t wait to get them up and moving. Using the Wonder app my son had dash programmed to roam the hallways and avoid obstacles that popped up. I even helped to make a course to test Dash. I was surprised to see my son troubleshoot Dash and have him navigating through in no time. To be honest I even got involved in programing Dash to push some dice and LEGO’s into a little zone to help clean up. Overall I would highly recommend picking up Dash and Dot for your kids and yourself as well. I had a blast playing with my kids and learning how to program Dash. They are a definite smash hit on any child’s Christmas list.
