The GO Exchange

All too often we forget that there is a great big world out there that stretches beyond the comfort of our own homes. One goal that most of us have is to be able to provide for our families and be proud of how we are doing that. It is truly a blessing when people are able to find a way to give back and teach others that yes it is possible, we are all able to give back in our own way, and it feels great to be able to say, “Yes, I did that!”

The GO Exchange provides a way for people to create goods, using their own hands, to create something that others will want to purchase, to create something that they can be proud of. They have created a large line of products and when purchased, the money goes to supporting the women that have created the item(s) and their families.

Many of us take for granted that we are able to go out and buy without a second thought. Think of the number of products that are mass produced just so the rich can get richer. The GO Exchange has created a market with products like aprons, scarves, jammies, ornaments, jewelry; just to name a few, that are hand crafted with love and pride to be sent to their customers.

I have had the privilege of getting to know The GO Exchange a little better and have learned that those involved in these efforts believe that this was their calling; I think they are right. They have touched the lives of so many and they have helped others create something that allows them to stand up and say, “I did this!”

Specifically, I was introduced to the Apron Ollie Owl (Ladies & Kids), Papillon Christmas Ornament Set, Ladies GO Jammie Lights (Plaid in Pink), Lux Hand Scarf (Batik Lt. Gray Graduated Stripe), Haitian Classic Mixed Media 20” Signature Necklace, and Small Woven 7×7 Cross-Body (Fuchsia and White). I love that each product is truly an original piece as it was made by hand. The quality is beyond reproach, the products are gorgeous, and you feel good owning them because you know that you are helping others. The GO Exchange has created true one of a kind gifts of pieces that are perfect to add to anyone’s collection and will be cherished by years to come by their owner.

Remember that when you teach your kids to cook, help then with their homework, and kiss them goodnight before bed, that the big world out there will only have a future if we work to uplift everyone in it. Let’s work to pass on these same lessons through the generators. With the help of The GO Exchange, anything is possible!
