Travel the World from Home with Little Passports
There are lots of subscription kits for children, but I think that Little Passports is one of the best. Not only do kids have fun, but they are learning at the same time!
We received the Discovery Kit, along with 2 months of shipments of the USA Edition.
The Discovery Kit contains a Welcome Letter, USA Field Guide (for keeping lots of notes, and adding stickers from the monthly kits). Kids can keep track of the States that they’ve visited and things that they have learned via the fun facts contained in each months workbook. A USA wall-sized map, USA “Scratch Book”, and a disposable camera with Photo Scavenger Hunt Project. There is also a colorful plastic folder to keep each months workbooks in.
The monthly shipments contain 1 workbook (32 pages) that contains information (places to visit, things to do, famous events) and activities (recipes, puzzles and simple experiments) for two different states. In the photos above You can see the New Hampshire – Georgia kit. The book is two sided. The postcards are bright and cheerful and the kit also includes stickers and “punch outs”. The workbook is a big 8 1/2 by 11 inches when closed. The cover has a nice coating (can be wiped clean) and the pages are a heavy weight paper and filled with illustrations and quality photos. You will also get access to more information and activities online.
I’m so impressed with these kits that I plan to use them as part of our 3rd grade homeschool curriculum for my grand daughter.
The USA Edition is geared for children ages 7 – 12. There is also the Early Explorers Edition for ages 3 – 5 and the World Edition for ages 6 – 10.
Choose you subscription plan – kits can be purchased month to month, 6 months at a time, or yearly.
