Ever wondered how fast sound travels?
Sound waves are created by variations of pressure. When you bang a drum, the action causes vibration, leading to changes in the atmosphere that are called sound waves. Sound waves travel at approximately 322 meters per second, which is the equivalent of more than three football fields. But while that may “sound” like a lot of distance, sound waves are actually much slower than light waves.
