Summer is almost here and the kids love being outside. Along with Summer arriving so does hot temperatures. This means the kids want to visit their favorite aisles in the grocery stores. The ice cream, fruit and veggie aisles. We used to purchase ice pops to cool the kids off on hot days and give them a treat, however we were recently introduced to a company called Foodworks and found a healthier alternative to store bought pops!

66da3e1dafb8f30c10ce6bc9a2c76aed9ae7789e_1We recently had the opportunity to review Foodworks Silicone Ice Pop Maker Molds free of charge. The kids had a ball creating their favorite ice pops. We even got creative and made smoothie pops. The ice pop molds are BPA free. Now we can make homemade ice pops without the dangerous wooden sticks. I can also make sure that my kids are getting healthy ice pops that are not filled with sugar, artificial colors and flavors.

After a trip to the grocery store to purchase the kids favorite fruits and juice, we were ready to get started. First, we started by washing the Silicone Ice Pop Maker molds in the dishwasher. I love that the molds are dishwasher safe. They are also BPA free! Huge win! While the molds were foodworkshaving a quick cleaning, the kids and I prepared their “smoothie creations”. Using a blender they mixed their favorite juice and fruits until smooth. Then we easily poured the mixture into the molds, put on the caps and took them to the freezer. You get six molds total, you might want to order more than one kit to have extra pops on hand for birthday parties, family gatherings and more.

In the past with my kids, it usually required a bath after having ice pops. They would drip and we would have sticky kid central. The Ice Pop Maker Molds are drip free keeping the kids clean and sticky free. The Ice Pop Maker Molds save money and reduces waste! I love how easy the molds are to use and clean.
