Nabi Dreamtab-HD8

With tablets popping up everywhere it is nice to find a high performance tablet with a reasonable price tag. For children six and up, the Nabi Dreamtab HD8 comes equipped with applications that will help your young child develop in many areas over the years. Once you get past the intriguing box that has a fold out collage pop-up art with several Dreamworks characters, your child will set up a profile by inserting the ready to go picture already on the Nabi Dreamtab or by taking a picture of them self to start their profile. After getting their profile completed they will have their own personal interface complete with customization  with apps. Right out of the box the tablet itself seems to feel as if you’re getting your monies worth, from the well built feel of it’s exterior to the impressive box you almost want to keep thanks to it’s unique design. Fresh from the box your Nabi Dreamtab HD8 is already covered in a red sleeve to protect it from dings and scratches. A Wacom pen on the lower back of the tablet can be used on the tablets touchscreen and will come in handy later when your children are using apps or games that seem to require the Wacom pen.

The Nabi Dreamtab comes equipped with an application called Wings which offers your children educational games and apps from grades kindergarten to the 6th grade. The more they accomplish through these educational experiences the more special badges and stars they can obtain, these badges and stars may be traded into Nabi coins to purchase  more apps and games teaching them a reward process by earning. It seems to be a well designed learning experience even you can enjoy with your children. The Nabi Dreamtab is a tablet built more for your child than an adult.  Keep Track of your child’s progression through Mommy & Daddy mode (a parental mode) through the menu button. Whether it be to see buy Nabi coins to setting a schedule for your child to follow throughout the week. This application is protected by a parent password only the parent should know. It’s also used for application purchases ect.  The parental mode will allow you access to see which apps your children are learning, along with the amount of time spent on each of the apps.

This is one of the best tablets I’ve seen for parents to interact with their children by leaving messages for your children for either a reminder; or just to make sure they know you love them. Following interaction will help you keep your child on a  schedule as well. The Nabi is a perfect fist child’s tablet
