All over Ohio, people are celebrating the best of the season – apples, pumpkins, harvest time, and so much more. September Fall Festivals in Ohio
Ohio Renaissance Festival – 9/1-10/28 – (Waynesville, OH) With fun themed weekends and special events all season long, the Ohio Renaissance Festival is full of medieval fun and lots of surprises. Over this two month event, there is plenty of food, shopping, and entertainment for all ages.
Harvest Home Fair – 9/6 – 9/8 – (Cincinnati, OH) This year celebrating the bicentennial of Cheviot, this festival one of the most long-standing fall festivals in Ohio. Over the course of the weekend, visitors can enjoy a parade, art and flower shows, livestock exhibits, stage shows, and so much more.
Ohio Sternwheel Festival – 9/7 – 9/9 – (Marietta, OH) Take in the Riverfront beauty of Marietta, as you enjoy this yearly event. There are pageants, children’s activities, a car show, boat races, and plenty of food to enjoy throughout the weekend.
Ohio Pawpaw Festival – 9/14 – 9/16 – (Albany, OH) Celebrate the wonders of the Pawpaw fruit with cook-offs, fun runs, parades, and so much more. There is something to see, do, and eat for the whole family at this event.
Preble County Pork Festival – 9/15 – 9/16 – (Eaton, OH) Enjoy country music and lots of amazing food at this annual festival. There is a Kid Zone, entertainment tent, pig races, and lots of vendors to visit throughout the weekend.
Crestline Harvest Festival – 9/20 – 9/22 – (Crestline, OH) Visitors to this weekend-long vent can participate in loads of fun contests, like pizza eating, seed spitting, hula hooping, and more. For more entertainment, there are live bands and amusement rides to enjoy, plus food and craft vendors.
Tipp City Mum Festival – 9/28 – 9/30 – (Tipp City, OH) The festival parade and motorcycle ride are just a couple of the fun things that visitors can enjoy. The Mum Festival has been celebrating this traditional fall flower for 60 years with pageants, food, and fun that the whole family can enjoy.
Ohio Heritage Days Festival – 9/29 – 9/30 – (Lucas, OH) – Go back in time with Civil War reenactments, living history displays, and archeological displays. Enjoy the beauty of the Malabar Farm State Park as you take in this fun and educational event.
October Fall Festivals in Ohio
Heritage of Flight Festival – 10/5 – 10/7 – (New Carlisle, OH) – There are three days of food, fun, and entertainment that surround this event. Of course, don’t miss the Parade of Planes, which is the main attraction of this Ohio tradition.
Bob Evans Farm Festival – 10/12 – 10/14 – (Rio Grande, OH) – Hosted by the nationally known restaurant chain, this festival has plenty of entertainment, including celebrities. Compete in some fun contests, and then grab some delicious food while you take in wonderful music and evening fireworks.
Applebutter Fest – 10/14 – (Grand Rapids, OH) – Check out pioneer demonstrations, historical reenactments, and so much more at this family-friendly event. Loads of great food, entertainment, kids’ activities and so much more.
Circleville Pumpkin Show – 10/17 – 10/20 – (Circleville, OH) – This four-day extravaganza boasts seven parades! There are pumpkin contests, pageants, rides, concessions, and so much more at this highly attended event. This event is considered one of the most popular fall festivals in Ohio.
