Transform Your Outlets with Living Plug

0

I don’t think it has anything to do with mundane outlets, but let’s face it, these two holes in the wall can only hold so much and do so much for us. More often than not we overload them and we still don’t have room for all that needs to be plugged in. I think the people at Living Plug understood this, and created a new way for us to plug in our appliances, charge our phones, and liven up our outlets.

What is Living Plug?

I’m going to let Living Plug explain it best:

Like most people we didn’t care much about the lowly electrical outlet. We didn’t care until we heard just how many kids end up in the ER after sticking a hairpin in one (2,400 a year). Or when we redecorate and came face to face with just how ugly it is. Or when we read about how much electricity is drained by items we have plugged in, but are not actually using.

So we decided to do something about this most basic of basic utilities by creating a system that would solve these problems and bring a littler flair and added function to our homes.

We call it LivingPlug.

LivingPlug-4-pointsAs you can see by the diagram above it really is an enhancement to the ordinary electric outlet. I mean it comes with a USB Port!

I have to admit that I was quite impressed with it, and we actually have it in our bedroom. We have our bedside lamps and cell phones connected to it. Our dogs can’t get to it nor the kids – which is definitely a plus.

The Inlet

living-plug-inletI personally think that the inlet itself is adorable, but if you notice those four pegs just barely sticking out, that’s where the faceplate sits on. The inlet itself plugs directly into one of your outlets the faceplate on top and voila! you’re done.

The Faceplate

I picked the Hawaiian pink flowers, because yes, I’m boring that way. However, there are hundreds of faceplates to choose from! Chevron, Maple, Nature, Art, and that’s just to name a few.

So give your electric outlet a makeover this year, and pick up a Living Plug.
