April showers bring…muddy puddles! I’m reaching out today to tell you about The Muddy Puddles Project, Peppa Pig’s chosen charity.
The Muddy Puddles Project is a fundraising platform for the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation, a certified 501(c)(3) that funds pediatric cancer research. The project was inspired by Ty, a little boy who loved Peppa Pig and dreamed of jumping in muddy puddles when his cancer was cured. Since his passing, the Muddy Puddles Project continues to grow by leaps and bounds with families all across the U.S. joining the mission and participating in special fundraising activities.
April marks the beginning of a whole season of special events – including Peppa-inspired Welly Walks to benefit the charity.
What is a Welly Walk? It’s as simple as it sounds: an organized stroll outside – rain or shine! – in your favorite pair of wellies (rain boots). As Peppa Pig’s Mummy Pig wisely says, “If you jump in muddy puddles, you must wear your boots.”
To help families everywhere get in on the “fun”-draising and host their own Welly Walk I am including everything you need to start your own community Welly Walk.
Parents, you can also find more information about the Foundation and download the Peppa Pig Welly Walk Kit on the official Peppa Pig website: http://www.peppapig.com/grown-ups/charity!
The Muddy Puddles Project celebrates kids being kids and all the silly and fun aspects that come along with it to honor all kids who are battling cancer and unable to enjoy such simple childhood pleasures. My hope is that you, my readers will help me get the word out – and maybe even be inspired to host your own Welly Walk, too!
Below I have a download which includes everything you will need to host your own Welly Walk in your own Community!

(Peppa Pig and The Muddy Puddles Project) What a great cause to be involved in, I use to do many of these type of walks when I was younger.
What a wonderful project this is , I never knew about April being for children wanting to be children, I think its wonderful and more people should get involved..
