Little Tikes Pop Haulers Garbage Truck

I can still remember the Little Tikes Popper toy I had years ago as a child. It was a bubble-styled hard plastic toy on wheels with multi-colored plastic balls inside that jumped around and made a “poppity pop” noise when the toy was pushed using the long slender handle. To me it resembled a bubble gum machine full of brightly colored gum balls but sounded like a popcorn machine. hehee!

It was a fun toy, especially since it made a lot of noise. I’m sure it got on my moms nerves. haha! Of course when I became a mom and my kids were young those were the types of toys I tried to avoid. Parents, you know why. haha! 

Luckily for parents who prefer a fun but quieter toy, Little Tikes created the Handle Haulers Pop Haulers toys; a dump truck and a garbage truck (sold as a bundle or separately).

No longer do the “pop” toys look like candy machines or sound like loud popcorn makers BUT they’re just as fun. Each vehicle was designed for babies and toddlers who enjoy energetic floor play but in a more compact version of an old classic.

The see-through truck beds give way to the recyclable trash (in the garbage truck) and boulders inside the dump truck. When your child pushes the truck forward the contents inside the truck bed are jostled around and create that symbolic “pop” sound— yet it’s a more subtle noise. YAY!

Something I really love about these trucks is that they include a soft, chunky handle that makes them easier to maneuver with small hands rather than a long, awkward stick which requires the child to be in a standing position. Those smiley faces give them fun, whimsical character. Too cute!

As durable and sturdy as these pop haulers are, I’m quite sure they’ll stand up to plenty of rough play for many years to come. Each truck measures 5.5″ L x 11″ W x 9″ H and weighs just 1.8 pounds.
