If you’ve never heard of “Give Kids The World Village”? Sit back and let me tell you about this wonderful non-profit organization.
This place is Awesome, you see Give Kids the World Village is a special place. It is a non-profit organization that grant “week long, cost-free fantasy vacations” for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Now in order to be considered for a Wish Trip, guest families must be identified by a wish- granting organizations and a evaluation must be completed by a doctor to determine that your child will be eligible for the Wish Trip!
Now Give The Kids The World Village is preparing for their 2016 Gingerbread Run 5K: Run, Walk or Roll to Make a Dream Come True. The great thing about this race is it’s for EVERYONE! Novice, professional, on-site and, of course, virtual runners!
The whole concept of the Gingerbead Race is to raise money so that they can continue to welcome children with life-threatening illnesses. That’s why we need your help, you too can be apart of this wonderful race, just think you’ll be helping to support a child’s Wish Trip. The Race registration fee is $40 from now to Oct. 15; $45 from Oct. 16 to Nov. 11; and $50 the day of the race. Race registration for juniors (ages 2 to 12) is $20 with a paid adult. All participants, in person and virtual, receive a 2016 race medal and a gingerbread cookie.
The Gingerbead Run 5K is an annual event that is sponsored by Mears Transportation. Mears Transportation, invites the public for a rare look inside the 79-acre Orlando-area property where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families take cost-free, weeklong vacations. Not only is this event held in Kissimmee, Florida hundreds of runners will be participating in Colorado, Texas, Missouri and other states, running, walking, rolling in wheelchairs and even riding bikes to be in solidarity with those in the Village. How great!
I know I would like to make my contribution by having my family walk that day to support the Gingerbead Run 5K.Children are so important and many of them need our support, no matter if we can support by volunteering, donate money, or by supporting the Gingerbead Run 5K
Let’s all come to do our part, if we can’t be there in person let’s support virtually November 12. Think about it, the money that Give Kids The World Village raises will definitely go to a worthy cause to help make wishes and dreams come true to nearly 8,000 families a year that stays at the Village to visit Central Florida’s world famous theme parks and other attractions.
