Going out now, when so many others are trying to escape from cabin fever, too, can spell disaster.

While your home might be a safe place, and you and your family might have avoided the worst of the season’s illnesses, you do not know how other people faired. Another good way to shake off cabin fever is to open the curtains or go outside and enjoy sunny weather. Sun is the source of vitamin D, which is very beneficial for physical and mental health. It makes serotonin produced in our brains. And as it’s known, serotonin is a happiness hormone 🙂

As well as sun, aerobic exercise — walking, running, biking and swimming — significantly increases serotonin production in the body. You need about 30 minutes to get the serotonin “high.”
