A Quick Guide on How to Get Started on Your Fitness Journey

7

If you are considering embarking new fitness regime, here’s a sobering statistic for you. Nine out of ten of us quit within three months of starting.

Can you be part of the 10% who turn their exercise goals into a success?

You can by following these simple steps. We’ll explain the practical tips and tricks to adopt if you want to get started on a new fitness journey this year and get into shape.

Create a Realistic Goal

While many of us would love a Hollywood body, that goal isn’t realistic for the vast majority. The top movie stars spend hours a day getting into shape for their latest movie, with a personal trainer on hand 24/7.

So though goals are essential when starting a fitness plan, be realistic about what you want to achieve. And make it measurable, too.

Perhaps your goal will be to lose a specific number of inches around your body or fit into a skinny pair of jeans that are currently too tight.

Find a Partner

You’ll need to commit to your fitness routine if you want to see results. That sounds good on paper, but many of us gradually slip with our fitness regime.

A great way to maintain commitment is to find a partner. You don’t always have to complete your workout simultaneously. However, if you are answerable to each other, you’ll push yourself harder to stick to those workout sessions.

Reevaluate Your Diet

Your fitness routine may or may not include weight loss. But either way, to get the body you want, you’ll need to have the proper nutrition to help you maintain enough energy for your workouts and build muscle.

If you do want a slimmer body, you can speed up weight loss by including natural fat-burning foods or supplements in your meal plan.

Don’t Overdo It

You don’t want to start your new fitness routine at maximum effort only to injure yourself within the first week. It takes time for our bodies to adjust to something new, so be patient.

If your goal is to complete a 45-minute fitness session, start with 25 minutes and work your way up to that goal in the first few weeks.

Likewise, if you are using weights, gradually increase your weight numbers instead of trying to hit those heavy weights on day one!

Stick to a Routine

It takes repeated practice to form a new habit. Still, you can increase your chances of adopting a successful fitness routine by taking a few simple steps. First, always pick the same days and times for your workouts.

Second, block it out on your calendar so you don’t double-book yourself and find excuses not to go. Make it as necessary in your diary as eating and sleeping!

Start Your Fitness Journey Today

It’s tempting to put off your fitness journey for another day. But often, that day turns into a week, which turns into a month. So use these tips to begin a sustainable fitness overhaul starting today – your body will thank you!

Thanks for your advice. It’s actually a great idea to find a partner as it can help you stay motivated for longer, add competition and support when needed. Also, do not forget to subscribe to cool blogs that will give good advice. For example, youthfulagain again with fitness, which helps me find good fitness tips.

Weight loss could be a goal of your fitness program, but it could also be something else entirely. To acquire the body you want, you will need the proper nutrition to ensure that you have enough energy to sustain the process of exercising and gaining muscle. This is true regardless of the other factors involved. bubble shooter
