Cooking With Pure Extract vs Imitation Extract

We all know how I’m obsessed with cooking. To me, it’s an amazing adventure into the unknown. When I start creating a recipe, I’m not sure how it’s going to turn out. Sometimes, it’s absolutely perfect and others times, it’s just a big mess. Regardless of how it turns out, I always have a good time and I always learn something new. Recently I was sent some pure extracts to try. I have to say, you can really taste the difference in pure vs imitation extracts.

NMV-Choc-18-oz-smallI recently experimented with a chocolate cream pie recipe. And, while it’s a new recipe I developed, I could immediately tell the difference in using Nielsen-Massey Pure Chocolate Extract vs the imitation stuff I’ve used in the past. It was a richer and deeper flavor of chocolate than I’ve ever developed in my kitchen before. If you’d like to try the chocolate cream pie recipe, I encourage you to use the Nielsen-Massey extract.

Their Pure Vanilla Extract, and Mexican Pure Vanilla Extract is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I haven’t had time to post the recipes I used these two extracts in. But, lets just say once you go pure you can never go back. Just the aroma alone is heavenly. My sister and I also made peppermint cookies, oh which I will post the recipe on soon, but wow they were to die for. We had to make hot coco to go along with them because it was just the perfect marriage. Of course we used the Nielsen-Massey Pure Peppermint Extract.

If you’ve been looking for the prefect marriage for your baking, I do encourage you to try Nielsen-Massey pure extracts and beans. I haven’t had a chance to try the beans yet, but I plan on it soon.
