What should you do on a weekend in New York?

2

With so many things to do in New York, it can be tough to come up with an itinerary. If you’re feeling lost or spoilt for choice, then this blog has got you covered. Regardless of whether you’re travelling with kids, your extended family or some old friends, this list will definitely spark some ideas. If you’re just in New York for a day or two, pick your favourite activities and make sure you get them in. But if you’re planning on a longer stay for over a week, you may want to squeeze in some things that you haven’t tried before but are willing to test out.

The Edge

Lots of tourists decide to visit the edge in New York and that’s because it offers such amazing views of the city. The Edge is one of the tallest observation decks and makes for incredible photos, though it’s probably best to skip it if you have an extreme fear of heights. If you can bear the thought of looking down on New York from a bird’s eye view, it should be high up on your list of priorities for your weekend away.

Broadway

Whether you’re a theatre lover or not, it’s hard to go to New York without seeing a show on Broadway. There’s bound to be something that interests you and your travel companions and it can be the perfect break after walking around the city all day. If you’re not sure what to see and aren’t much of a theatre buff, a fun musical is always a safe option. Make sure you get your tickets in advance if you want to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, if you don’t mind potentially missing this experience, you could show up on the day to see if there are any cheap seats available.

Central Park

In the summer there’s no better place to have a stroll than in Central Park. You can decide to have a picnic and some lunch there or simply have a break from towering buildings and enjoy the nature. If you happen to be in New York in the winter, you’ll even be able to try ice skating within the park’s grounds.

Statue of Liberty

Arguably the most iconic landmark in New York, the Statue of Liberty is hard to miss. If you’re spending any time at all in the Big Apple, it’s a good idea to get at least one photo of yourself with the Statue of Liberty. If you really want to get up close and personal, consider taking a ferry over to Ellis Island.

Shopping

While it’s true you can go shopping in just about any city, a little retail therapy in New York certainly won’t hurt. You’ll be able to find everything from thrift shops to luxurious boutiques, so don’t worry too much if you have a set budget in mind. Don’t forget to grab some souvenirs for everyone back home so that they know you were thinking of them while having the time of your life.

Meeting with friends is a holiday for me. I feel this especially after quarantine and isolation. And meeting up with friends is a great idea. Create your new and stylish look with the help of best barbershops in new york https://menshaircuts.com/best-barbershops-in-new-york/ and call and gather friends in a noisy company for a visit. One meeting held together will not be enough. We need to get in the habit of getting together. And the more you communicate with each other, the more so for various discussions, some common memories and the appearance of a craving to get together and see each other again.

I like meeting my friends! Friendship is a disinterested relationship between people based on trust, mutual sympathy, common interests and hobbies. Friendship always helps us in school, in work, and in life in general. Thanks to friendship, we become better, stronger, more positive. So having good friends is great!
