Most of us had kiddos heading off to school and a lot of us have some leaving for college this year. Keeping up with education demands in the twenty-first century is nothing like we experienced in our school years. Technology has taken over and if you don’t keep up with it, it will surly leave you behind. Kobo eReaders makes the perfect piece of technology to help keep our kids running in the fast-paced gadget world with their amazing Kobo Arc. Winner of the “Parent Tested, Parent Approved” award.
With the Kobo Arc you can download and read millions of books, listen to music, stay in touch with friends and family via Skype. You can surf the net and choose from over 675,000 different apps!
“Beneath the 1280 x 800-pixel IPS display are a Texas Instruments OMAP 4470 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. The model we tested has 16 GB of storage, with no microSD slot for expanding the memory. The only two ports are micro-USB for charging and transferring data and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. A 1.3-Megapixel webcam rounds out the specs on the front of the slate.”
Using the Android 4.0.4 with it’s own “Tapestries” interface the system runs incredibly smoothly. The Kobo Arc is a must have. And it only takes seconds to download your books too! The screen is covered with a glare-reducing lining that easily makes it easy to read indoor and outdoors. I love to read outside and find it difficult with most other tables because I can’t see the screen from all the glare. Another fabulous feather of the Kobo Arc is that the speakers are right on the front rather than the side. This makes it great since on the other tables they put them on the side and my fingers tend to cover them up.
