Change Your Pillow

After several years of use, your pillow is going to get uncomfortable. It happens. The padding will become flat and stiff. If you use the pillow, your head will hit the mattress. Suffice to say, the pillow is no longer going to be comfortable. Therefore, you should try changing it. Upgrade to a new pillow with extra padding. Make sure it properly supports your neck and head. If you do this, you’ll feel great throughout the night and in the morning.

Change Your Sheet

If you’re having difficulty getting comfortable, it might be that you’re too hot. If this happens, you need to take steps to cool your bedroom. Turn the HVAC system to a lower temperature. You’ll also want to consider changing your sheets. Right now, your sheets are too thick and heavy. Switching to thinner sheets will make a big difference. You can cool things down a bit by switching to silk sheets. These sheets are thinner than others, so they’ll keep you cool throughout the night.

Try Adding More Pillows

In some cases, your discomfort has something to do with your legs and knees. If you’re having knee pain, you need to stop it. You can try fixing the problem by using more pillows. Put a pillow between your legs. When you do that, you’ll remain more comfortable. You’ll wake up in the morning feeling better too. A pillow between your legs could eliminate leg and knee pain.

Use A Mattress Topper

Many people have trouble staying comfortable because their mattresses are worn out. When this happens, you’ll likely consider replacing the mattress. Although this is a good step in the right direction, you may not need to do this just yet. Instead, you can try installing a mattress topper. A mattress topper will make a big difference since it’ll add more padding to your mattress. However, it won’t eliminate a bad mattress. At some point, you’ll need to replace the mattress.

Try Using A Weighted Blanket

Finally, you should think about purchasing and using a weighted blanket. Doing so will make a big difference. These blankets are designed to keep people comfortable at night. Plus, they offer other benefits, including lowering your stress. They can help promote sleep too. Just remember that weighted blankets tend to be thicker and heavier than others. Therefore, they’re going to be hotter than thinner blankets. They’ll be a good addition to your bed during the winter. When it gets hot, you may want to switch to a thinner blanket.
