I remember when I was younger and how I loved to go rollerblading. It was a fun way to get fresh air and exercise. My friends and I would meet up at the park on Summer days and it was pretty much the cool way to hang out. The downside of having roller blades was that you either had to carry your sneakers or roller blades or be stuck in your roller blades all day. This wasn’t so fun. If you ever had roller blades you know how heavy they can be on your feet.
Heelys are today’s roller blades but new, improved and convenient! Heelys are an amazing two in one package! Without the wheels Heelys look like normal sneakers. They are super comfortable and very stylish. When you feel like “skating” or “blading” you simply put the wheels extremely easily into your “sneakers” and you are ready to go! Your new Heelys come with 2 pairs of wheels and this cool tool you use to remove the wheels when you want to switch back to sneakers.
I recently had the chance to review Heelys in the Double Threat style. I love the color and style not to mention how comfortable they are. At first I was a little weary about whether or not I would pick up how to use them easily or if it was something that needed to be mastered.
Putting the wheels into the shoes was simple:
1) Start by turning your shoe over and remove the the heel plugs. They easily pop out. Remove all the plugs and be sure to put them in a safe place so you can easily find them when you are done and ready to use your Heelys as sneakers again.
2) Take the wheels off the package. Then place the wheels over their slot, with a the palm of your hand or a fist hit the wheel to fully secure and set the wheel into the axles of the soles of the shoe. Your all set!
It took a few minutes to get the hang of gliding but once I got the hang of it I was having a ball!
Heelys will make a great birthday present or with the Holidays only a few months away I am sure they will be a huge hit! Shop Heelys Skate shoes.
