Remove What Doesn’t Belong

After you dust everything, now is the time to wipe down all of the surfaces. Dust particles will probably have made their way over to the surfaces of your counters or tabletops so you will want to make sure you’re cleaning them well. You should also be going back and cleaning the tough spots on counters or tables as well as cleaning out your toilet.

Make sure you take the time to thoroughly wipe down each surface with an all-purpose cleaner. You may even want to get down and clean each table leg as spills or germs can end up down there as well. At this point, you should also be cleaning faucets, sinks, and showers.

Time for the Floors

Now it is time for the fun part which is cleaning all of your floors. To make sure that your home smells good and fresh you can also apply a carpet powder before vacuuming but make sure to let it sit for a little bit. When it comes to vacuuming you should move your furniture around and make sure that you’re getting into every single nook and cranny.

In the rooms that you have hardwood or tile floors, you should make sure you have a mop and a bucket. Fill the bucket with a bit of cleaner and the rest of the way with water. When disposing of the dirty mop bucket water you should do it outside as you will containment the sinks that you’ve already cleaned.

Complete the Finishing Touches

At this point, your entire home should be looking pretty spotless so now you should just focus on the finishing touches. This could mean folding and putting away laundry, emptying the dishwasher, or other tasks that you’ve put off until now.

Your final step should be taking out the garbage. During the cleaning process, you have probably loaded your trash full of different things that you’ve thrown away so you should definitely save this step for last.
