For materials, you’ll need:
- Paper plate
- Tissue paper
- Googly eyes
- Yarn

The instructions are:
- Cut up the tissue paper into small squares (If you have young children who aren’t comfortable using scissors yet, have them tear the tissue paper into small pieces instead)
- Draw a wavy line at the bottom of the paper plate and cut along the line
- Glue tissue paper squares onto the paper plate
- Using the hole punch, make several holes along the wavy side of the paper plate
- Cut strands of yarn all to the same length, then thread them through the holes and tie them up
- Glue googly eyes onto the paper plate and make a mouth using the black marker
2. Small Cup Squirrel
For materials, you’ll need:
- Dixie cup
- Acrylic paint
- Tacky glue or low temp glue gun
- Medium googly eyes
- Pink pom-pom
- Black marker
- Scotch tape
Instructions:
- Paint the Dixie cup with white acrylic paint and let dry
- Paint another color of acrylic over the white, leaving a strip of white for the face and belly
- Cut a strip of construction paper for the tail
- Roll the strip of paper the whole length down
- Cut out two triangles from the same construction paper to use as ears
- Use tacky glue or a low temp glue gun (with supervision and caution) to adhere the ears to the cup
- Glue on googly eyes underneath
- Cut out a pair of feet from construction paper and use a black marker to draw on claws, then secure them using tacky glue or a low temp glue gun
- Glue the pom-pom on under the eyes for a nose
- Draw a mouth using a black marker and secure the tail to the back of the cup using glue or Scotch tape
3. Buzzing Bees
For materials, you’ll need:
- Wine cork
- Yellow, pink, and green craft paint
- Small white canvas
- Paintbrush
- Black marker
Instructions:
- Dip the cork into a “flower” color paint and stamp four circles into a flower shape
- Wash the cork and dip into the yellow paint, then stamp in a round shape for the bees
- Paint a green flower stem for the flowers on the canvas
- Once the paint is dry, use a black marker to add stripes, a face, antennae, and wings to the bees
