How To Get Bikini Body Ready

1

With summer just around the corner, many of us are already dreaming of lazy summer days strolling along the beach, taking a dip in azure waters, and relaxing in a faraway resort.  The trouble with summer, of course, is that outfits become smaller, clothing is skimpier, and far more flesh is on show. Luckily, there is no need to worry, as we have put together the ultimate guide to help you get bikini body ready in no time—grab a swimsuit, fire up your best wheatgrass juicer, and hit the beach!

Preparation Is Key

There is no point in reaching the week before your vacation and wishing you were three sizes smaller. The saying goes that summer bodies are made in winter months, and for this reason, it is important to plan ahead. Get yourself into a regular workout routine well in advance to help it become a habit rather than a chore, and give you a chance to set realistic, achievable goals with small milestones to break up the journey.

Be Realistic

Your results will depend largely on your body type, despite how much work you put in. If you are a 5″11 Amazonian goddess, you will never have a delicate, barely-there sylph-like figure. Don’t set unrealistic expectations.

Similarly, if you are five foot nothing and shaped like an apple, it is highly unlikely you will start the summer resembling Victoria’s Secret model. The trick is to love what you have—all body shapes are different and can be celebrated. Being realistic about what you want to achieve will help to keep you focused and motivated along the way.

Don’t Forget Your Diet

Diet is a large part of transforming your body and overall health, and it is important not to neglect it. Focus on enjoying nutritious, healthy food, and making a lifestyle change rather than following a strict diet plan. This will be far more sustainable in the long run and will help you to maintain your dream physique all year round. It also takes the pressure off you to eat like a mouse—that will only make you miserable, as well as pretty dull to be around!

Stay Hydrated

It sounds like a cliche, but it is important to drink enough water. This helps your organs and body to detoxify, clears your skin, and gives you more energy. It can also be an excellent way to help manage your appetite.A large percentage of the time, our bodies tell us we are hungry when we are thirsty. When hunger pangs hit, try having a glass of water and waiting ten minutes. If you are still hungry, enjoy your snack, but you may find that your body is fully satisfied.

Get Some Sleep

Don’t spend so long worrying about your workout that you neglect your rest. We need around 8 hours sleep a night for the full benefits, and this is hugely important for helping your body run at full strength, as well as helping you look fresh and alert, ready for that selfie!
