I just spent the weekend in fabulous Chicago. Right in the heart of the city, “The Loop” which is the central business district of Chicago, bounded by the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Chicago Loop houses the tallest members of Chicago’s skyline and it’s absolutely breathtaking.
If you like to shop, there is no better place to abuse your budget than Chicago! Surrounded by and awe of shopping centers, department stores, mouth-watering restaurants, luxury hotels and the world famous Navy Pier, where you’ll find everything from amusement rides, to entertainment and even sunset boat cruises.
And if you’re a sports fan you can feed your craving at Wriggly Field with a ball game or Solider Field with heart pounding excitement from the Chicago Bears. And that is exactly what I did. I went to the Bears vs. Texans on Veterans Day and had a fabulous time.

It was a great game at Soldier Field and what better place for two rival #1 teams to meat than on Soldier Field on Veteran’s Day. The Houston 
Texans met the Chicago Bears head on. It isn’t very often that you see two #1 teams battle to maintain that #1 spot. It was a rainy cold and windy night on Soldier Field. Like most Battlefields, both sides were determined to win. During the second half, Defensive player Dobbins of the Texans was called for a personal foul after hitting Quarterback Cutler. Cutler was hit hard and was slow to gain his composer, but stayed in till he was =ruled out at halftime and never returned to the game. One lone touchdown by the Texan Arian Foster gave the Texans the lead to win the game. All other scores were Field Goals (two each), which canceled each other out. The one diving catch by Foster was the decisive blow. The final score was Bears – 6, Texans – 13.

so many things to do for the entire family
I went there in high school and we took a cruise that went along the pier. We saw the loop and the ferris wheel and were served the delicious pizza. Chicago is always a good time!

I have been to Chicago a few times back in the 70’s. I love the museums – the traffic scares me to death. I could never drive around Chicago but nonetheless, I would love to visit. I would love to visit the Navy Pier and of course my husband would like Wrigley Field. I could stay a week at the museum. I am happy you had a good time there.

Our family moved from South West Michigan 2 years ago to Florida. Before we moved, my husband and I would go to Chicago for a weekend to do all of our Christmas shopping. What an amazing write up of the city!
