As Sheeva, Boobcube founder and mother of 2, navigated the early days of parenthood, she found herself frustrated with the single-use breastmilk storage bags. These bags, though convenient, created loads of plastic waste and leached chemicals into the milk she worked so hard to produce. The thought of using these bags daily, contributing to environmental harm and potentially compromising my baby’s health, was unsettling and we knew there had to be a better way.
None of the other breastmilk storage solutions on the market checked all of her boxes. They were either too expensive, difficult to use, or made from questionable materials. Desperate for a solution, she hacked together her own system using bottles, silicone pouches, and glass storage containers she had on hand. This makeshift system worked well enough, and when shared with friends, she realized that many other new parents were searching for a similar solution.
Driven by the desire to help other parents and create a sustainable future for our children, Sheeva decided to develop a more refined version of her homemade system. She took feedback from parents, focusing on what mattered most: safety, ease of use, sustainability, and affordability. And thus, Boobcube was born.
