Kobo Glo eReader and its 50 Shades of Enlightening

koboglo_overview_dressup01_enAs an avid reader, I love the power of getting lost in a good book. Being transported into another realm of imaginary worlds; it’s stimulating and relaxing. Yet a guilty pleasure I don’t get to experience often enough.

The older I become, the harder it is to find time to divulge in my reading passion.  But when I do find time, I want to jump in with both feet. I love having a book ready and waiting, rather than spending hours upon hours at the local bookstore hunting for the perfect literary to take me away.

Recently I feel in love – in love with ereading and its convenience.  I love that I can pick up my Kobo Glo ereader and shop for a new book right from the menu and; within minutes of finding the perfect novel I’m whisked away in another imaginary world, relaxed and excited about my new adventure.

The Kobo Glo has changed the way I read, and because of its convenience, I have more time to read. No more going to the bookstore and spending wasted hours driving to and fro, hunting though isle after isle for my next invented journey.

I will be doing a follow up post on the Kobo Glo which I will be taking with me in my upcoming travels. In these post we’ll highlight the pros and cons of an ereader in more depth. I’m certain the pros will more than outweigh the cons, in fact at this given moment, I can’t think of a single con to and ereader verse a physical book.

Be sure to check back with us soon for more information on the Kobo Glo ereader.

It is so much easier to read using an e-reader that I find myself even reading while waiting in line. I love it.

You’re so right about convenience. It’s sure smaller than the magazines I tote around – and what about those fat Stephen King books I always carry? I have to get one of these. It took me a while to get used to the idea of eReading, but now I can’t wait!

The Kobo Glo eReader would be awesome for checking out books from the library and taking them with me to work, play, travel, and bed for a bit of reading on the go and at home. It would be especially wonderful for in bed reading which I can’t currently do without electricity in my bedroom.

I too an an avid reader and since my cataract surg. I have had difficulty seeing. With this e-reader, I can bury myself in books again. I can take the reader to my doctor’s appointments and actually enjoy myself rather than feeling miserable. How great is that? I’m just sayin…

I want one of these so badly! I am tired of taking books everywhere and wanting to download ebooks I find on the web free but can’t get. I have been looking at them for sometime and trying to save up to afford one. I enjoy reading and it would make things easier,

My mother and I both share a love for reading. She spends a lot of time alone these days and I would love to give this to her so she has company whenever she feels lonely as reading can take you anywhere.

I do not own an e-reader. However, I do know several people that have them and love them. How great it would be to just go into the menu, pick a title & read! 🙂

Having 5 avid readers in my house and only my daughter with a Kindle (which isn’t working by the way) my house is beginning to resemble a used book store! I’d love one of these just to have for my books!

I have not heard of the Kobo before. Thank you for this post allowing me to learn more about it. I would be very interested in the Kobo Glo, assuming that it is back-lit for nighttime reading, which is when I do most of my reading.

I am so happy that Kobo is taking such an interest in getting people to read. I agree that it will save time by staying at home reading instead of driving back and forth to the book store!!
