If you’re on the hunt for some cheap garden ideas then this is the guide for you. There are many things you can do to really bring your garden to life and when you give them a go, you will soon find that it is easier than ever for you to get the result you need on a budget.

Paint it Black

You would be surprised at how much a new lick of paint can transform a tired or old garden fence. It can also provide you with a stunning backdrop for any bright plants you may have. The color that is going to make the biggest impact would be black. The depth of color is great for those who want to make their garden stand out. If you paint your boundaries then you will soon find that you can bring your garden to life without having to worry too much about replacing the fence.

Hanging Baskets

Another thing you can do, if you want to add some instant color to your garden, would be for you to plant some hanging baskets. Choose plants like verbena, petunia or even tomatoes if you can. If you can do this then you will soon find that you have a very low-maintenance way to keep your garden looking great and this can work in your favor quite a lot. If you don’t feel as though you have a lot of space then you need to try and keep it vertical if you can. Maximize every inch of your space where possible. A cheap way for you to do this would be for you to hang a rack on your garden wall. You can then add some interest to your bland walls. You can hook plants and planters on there with ease and this is a great way for you to get the result you want.

Plant and Divide

Another thing you can do is plant and divide. A cost-effective way for you to fill up your flower beds and for you to have great-looking plants would be for you to buy perennials as you can split them and then have them grow better. This may sound a little advanced, but it’s really not, in fact, it’s super simple. Tip the plant out of its pot and then pull it apart in a few little bits. Make sure that each one has some stalk and root, and then spread it. You can then pull them apart more as they grow to get even more plants. You will have a wonderful display, and you won’t have to spend a lot of money either.

Make Over your Shed

When you look at your shed, what do you see? Probably something quite uninviting, right? One way for you to do something about this would be for you to tidy it up and transform it. You never know, you may be able to transform it into a garden bar if you want. When you upgrade your shed, you should probably use some nice hard wearing paint because if you don’t then you may find that you end up having to repaint it at a later date which is the last thing you need. If you are working on a project like this then you may want to invest in an oscillating tool. When you have something like this, you will find it easier than ever for you to get the job done, and you will get a professional-looking result too.

Make it Cozy

Your garden is an extension of your home, so you should treat it as such. If you don’t feel as though you are able to do this then invest in an outdoor rug. You can get ones that come in geometric stripes as well as in jungle-inspired prints. This is a great way for you to make your garden feel more homely, and it won’t cost you a lot at all. Another thing you can invest in would be cushions. Cushions are a great way for you to make your seated area feel cozier and on top of this, whenever you feel like a change, you can always just swap them out.

Grow from Seed

The cheapest way for you to make your garden look great without spending a small fortune would be for you to grow from seed. When you grow from seed, you just need to make sure that you check the packet, because you can then make sure that you don’t plant too many. You can sow seeds for your annual herbs if you want as well, as this includes parsley as well as coriander, basil and more. You can then plant them indoors on your windowsill if you want, which is a great way for you to save time and money.

Corks

If you want to upcycle your wine corks then you can use them as plant markers. All you need to do is get some bamboo skewers or some toothpicks. Carefully slice off around one fifth of the cork and then reveal the flatter surface. When you do this, you will be able to use a marker to reveal the vegetable’s name. You can then put the skewer into the bottom of the cork so that it can be used as a label. This is a great way for you to save money, and you would be surprised at how much of a difference it can make to your garden. You can also draw little designs on your corks as well if you want, as again, this is a good way for you to not only get the result you want, but to also get the job done on a budget.

So as you can see, it’s very easy for you to revamp your garden on a budget. If you follow this guide then you will soon find that it is easier for you to not only get the result you want, but for you to also save money by doing so. Why not see if you can make a positive difference today?
