Stylish Reusable Blu Bags from rockflowerpaper

Blu Bag First Image A

Who says that going green can’t be blue?  Certainly not rockflowerpaper’s stylish reusable Blu Bags.  These bags are made 100% machine-washable polyester.  Use these bags over and over and over again. They are 19″ wide by 24″ tall, and each bag can hold up to 50 lbs.  Bags are sold separately or in sets. Individual bags have a carabiner to attach each zippered pouch to inside of bag. Each set contains three bags and a zippered pouch to store them in.  Each bag can be rolled up and secured with it’s attached elastic band.

I received 3 of the sets of Blu Bags for this post. The colors are vibrant, the patterns are bright and cheerful and the bags are really sturdy.  They store so compactly, that the zippered pouch filled with 3 bags each, fit neatly in my medium size handbag It’s amazing how much can fit into each bag…I was able to get 2 plastic grocery bags worth into one! Besides being bad for the environment, plastic bags rip and tear and aren’t very comfortable to carry. Not so with Blu Bags!

Who says that going green can’t be blue?

Certainly not rockflowerpaper. They take the need for keeping our beaches and oceans clean to heart, by offering to 20 cents per Blu Bag sold (with a minimum of $50,000), over the next three years – through March of 2018, to the Ocean Conservancy.

Donations to the The Ocean Conservancy Help to:

• Protect vital habitats of marine animals like sea turtles, polar bears and whales.
• Fund major beach clean-ups in coastal communities across the country.
• Spearhead cutting-edge ocean solutions.
• Advocate for the protection of the ocean’s most extraordinary places for future generations.

Here is some of the information that rockflowerpaper sent to me concerning plastic bags.

  • The average American uses 300 plastic bags per year.
  • One bag can take 1,000 years to disintegrate.
  • Our oceans have trillions of plastic pieces in them.
  • The fish we eat swallow plastic bag pieces.
  • Plastic washed up on beaches all over the world.
  • Marine life can die of suffocation from plastic bags.
  • By using Blu Bags you become part of the solution.

I salute rockflowerpaper for their diligence, and their support of the Ocean Conservancy and the vital work that they do. I hope that they are able to more than meet their minimum goal of $50,000. They provide well made, beautiful and functional totes at reasonable prices, and donate towards a  great service to our earth.
