Great Gifts For Teenage Boys To Get Them Outside

1

Boys between the ages of 10 and 16 only spend on average 12.6 minutes a day playing and exercising outdoors. This can have a dramatic impact on their health and wellbeing, especially if they are not getting enough Vitamin D, gained from sunlight. If your boy would rather be sat on the sofa playing video games, then it is a good idea to encourage them to actively be outside. For birthdays and Christmas buy them a gift that will motivate them to get out of the house and into the sunshine having fun.

A pro-basketball hoop

According to a report published by ESPN, 40% of teenage boys play hoops, either at school, at the sports center, in the community or at home. Not only is basketball great for general health and fitness, it also improves self-esteem and helps to build relationships with others. A pro-basketball hoop is a great gift for a teenage boy to get them outside and enjoying sports. They can practice their skills and make new friends playing with others, plus they can get creative and create a wide variety of games to play using the hoop, such as the ever-popular “PIG” or make-it-take-it.

A radio-controlled trucks

Even if your teenage boy isn’t sporty, a radio-controlled truck is a great way of getting him out of the house. The modern RC truck isn’t a little toy, these are sophisticated machines that can be used on a variety of terrains. Most main towns and cities have an RC car club, or your child can even start his own, creating interesting routes and trails to challenge the RC driver. It’s a great way to get outdoors and meet new people in a sociable way that is fun and relaxing without any pressure.

An electric scooter

The very first electric scooter available to the public in 1996. Manufactured by Peugeot, they included a 3 hp motor and a battery which powered the scooter for 25 miles. The modern electric scooters are great fun for teenage boys and can reach speeds of around 10 mph, with a battery life of around 12 hours. They are very simple to assemble and have hand-powered brakes. An electric scooter can be used for getting around as well as doing tricks in the park with friends. It makes the ideal gift for Christmas or a special birthday.

A well-considered gift can be a great way to encourage your teenage boy to get outside. They can have good fun with friends, actively enjoying the great outdoors.

I have been looking for ways to entice my kids to go and play outside more often, this article has given me some great guidelines. However there is also a loss of a sense of security once my child leaves the house, especially in this day and age.
I then found an inexpensive way that will motivate my children to go outside and be active while i still feel safe letting them do so. It is surprisingly kids smartwatches that allowed me this luxury as the smartwatch actually provided goals and games to play whilst outside and also giving me security as I know where they are. It is kinda a fun way of mixing outside with tech. If you want to have a look at the article i found this info from and what products work as such then feel free to visit the same one i did : https://www.pacgym.com/kids-smart-watch/
