0

Being a stay at home mom is a full time job. Looking after the little ones, taking care of the husband, cleaning the house, running daily chores, cooking and running to the shops, all of this becomes a part of hectic daily routine. And then before you know it, your little ones are going to school, your husband is at work, your house is clean and you have done the shopping for the week. You have a few hours to yourself and what you imagined was heaven is turning into hell because, and you never thought you would hear yourself think it, you are bored and have too much free time to only pot around the house and not enough time to start working. You are at a crossroad and you are looking for a cost effective means of keeping idle hands busy. You see, you aren’t the only one in this dilemma and after some careful observation and research; we have come up with a list of hobbies that won’t break the bank but will keep you entertained for the hours your kids are at school.

Online Gaming

Not all mothers are into Gears of War or action packed gaming, but the number of mothers we spoke to let us in on a little secret. They claimed to have experienced a calming and enjoyable time online playing NoviBet UK slots. Here you can play for free or you can play for real cash. Playing for real cash allows you to win real cash which is always a welcomed treat, especially over the school holidays.

Start a Blog

It really isn’t as difficult as it might sound or as hard work as what you think it is. There are a number of free blogging sites that you can download themes from and create a frame for your blog. If you are good at cooking, create a cooking blog or perhaps you want to start a mom’s blog? Do some homework and start interacting with other mothers.

DIY Projects

Need some things done around the house but hubby is too busy at work? Become the man of the house and learn from DIY blog tutorials. Create your own projects by focusing on a room at a time and get busy. Pinterest has a few great ideas; just don’t start in the kitchen!

Pamper Sessions

You don’t need to frequent the spa to look and feel good. Spend some time painting your nails, doing your hair or exploring your old vanity. Look and feel years younger by creating DIY facial masks and putting on a little makeup.

Visit the Library

Get yourself a good book. Sometimes it’s nice to have a little down time alone and curl up on the sofa with a book. No one will judge you for taking a few hours to yourself.

As a stay at home mom you deserve some alone time because staying at home doesn’t mean being alone. Find something that keeps you happy so that you yourself may maintain the happiness at home.
