Check the Grill in Advance

You can’t throw a successful BBQ party without serving everyone’s favorite BBQ foods. The last thing you want is to wait until the day of the party only to find out that your grill doesn’t work.

At least a week in advance, check to make sure that your grill works, and that you have all the supplies that you need. That could mean charcoal or propane, depending on what kind of grill you have, as well as grilling accessories like tongs and a grill brush.

Plan the Menu

Once you know that your grill is in top working condition, start planning for the BBQ foods that you’ll cook on it! There are a couple of BBQ menu ideas that you can think about, depending on how many people you’re serving and what kind of vibe you want.

For example, you can’t go wrong with a classic menu of burgers and hot dogs on the grill. If you want something a little different, you can smoke pork for pulled pork sandwiches, or grill ribs.

Get your guests involved too. Ask them to bring summer side dishes, so that you can focus on the rest of the food and drinks.

Stock Up on Supplies

You want an end-of-summer BBQ to have a casual vibe. When you’re going through your party checklist, make sure that you’re stocked up on all the supplies to make that happen.

That can include simple and fun party decorations or other kinds of life-savers like plastic plates and cups. You never know when this useful product you added last minute will be the thing that ensures you get to enjoy the party along with your guests.
