For a while, Bumkins wet bags have been a staple in my diaper bag. They have saved me in many a…. WET situation, and it’s one of those “can’t live without” things.
But Bumkins line doesn’t stop at adorable cloth diapers, or at wet bags to place them in. They have a nice line of “things that save the day.” Yup, that’s the best way to categorize it my head. All of them are adorably designed, childish and fun, and very well made.

Among my favorite Bumkins products are their Thing 1 and Thing 2 T-shirts. Aren’t they adorable? I got M one that says “Thing 1” and praying someday we’ll add a “Thing 2” to add to it…
They are so well-designed, with a large, graffiti-inspired print, while featuring one of my favorite children’s books. They are made from high-quality cotton jersey and are tagless for comfort. They come in multiple prints (here’s another favorite, featuring the cat himself!)
One of my favorite features of Bumkins’ wet bags is their unique waterproof fabric, that isn’t too thick. Their long-sleeved art smock (features the same fabric, and provides amazing coverage for messy artwork. M managed to get paint in his hair, all over the table, but kept his clothing clean. Here are some additional features:
- Tie closure on the back makes it adjustable.
- Machine washable (yay!)
- It comes in a variety of prints, including two chevrons (I chose the gray), turtles, owls, a pretty floral design, and a Dr. Seuss version.
- It fits sizes 3-5 years. M is a very tall two-year-old and it fits him beautifully.
- Lead free, PVC free, BPA free, Phthalates free, and vinyl free
- Has a pocket for stowing those art goods.
Bumkins has a great line of kid-friendly dinnerware too. Their melamine divided plates are sure to get your picky tot to eat more. They come in cute prints and are dishwasher safe. We chose a fire truck plate, or as M calls it, a “chluck”.
Bumkins’ Nixi line features convenience products for the natural-minded mom of a baby. Their reusable nursing pads are super soft and made from micro-fleece which keeps you feeling dry for longer. They have a waterproof outer layer to protect your clothing. They come in a waterproof bag too, so that you can slip them in your handbag and have them handy.
They also have trendy teething jewelry that mom can wear and baby can borrow. M has actually hijacked the Nixi Silicone Teething Bracelet Quadro from me and never returned it. His mouth is quickly filling up, and he enjoys that much-needed relief. They come in ten different colors to match whatever you’re wearing, and are made of 100% food grade silicone, and are safe for your baby to chew on.
