North Carolina is one of the oldest states in the Union, which means it’s full of history and pride. During the fall in North Carolina, people flock to the mountains to see the gorgeous fall foliage. However, that’s not the only time this majestic state is worth visiting. So, load up the family, get into that RV and head to North Carolina this summer for fun in the sun. If you’re in the market for an RV before you go, then make sure that you do your research into the best RV warranties around as well. Once you have the RV and the warranty in place, read on below for a few of the top reasons you should visit North Carolina this upcoming summer season.

The Mountain Views

Spring, summer, winter, or fall, the views from the mountains in North Carolina are gorgeous. While you’re there don’t forget to check out the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s a gorgeous, scenic route that winds through mountains and offers stunning views. You can get those same views from the mountain homes for sale in the area. Whether it’s a small home overlooking the valley or a huge cabin off by itself with only wilderness around, there is something to be said for waking up in the mornings, walking out on your back deck and looking down on the majestic, breathtaking scenery below.

The Gorgeous Outer Banks

The mountain views are spectacular, but the beaches are as well. You’ll want to make sure and visit the beautiful Outer Banks when you’re in North Carolina for the summer. This is a 200-mile long string of barrier islands that will provide your family fun, sun, and plenty of activities to keep you busy. If you’re a beach lover, then the Outer Banks is for you, and will provide you with endless hours of sun, fun, and sand.

The Food (Especially the BBQ)

There’s a reason North Carolina is known for its southern food because it’s absolutely delicious. Their signature vinegar-based sauce for their well-known BBQ is a dish that will have you coming back again and again for more. Order some BBQ and add a side of hush puppies, a dab of coleslaw, and a glass of sweet iced tea and you have yourself a delicious southern meal like no other.

To get Spooked

While Halloween and fall are the prime times for spooky ghost tours, you can get spooked anytime in this gorgeous state. From the Mysterious Brown Lights to the haunting of the Biltmore Estate, there’s no end to the spooky places you can visit here.

For the History

North Carolina is brimming with history. It boasts the famous tale of the Lost Colony of Roanoke. When the governor of the colony sailed to get fresh supplies, he never expected to come back and find the entire colony gone without a trace, never to be seen again. This is just a little of the history of North Carolina you can hear and visit on a trip there this upcoming summer season.

These are just a few of the top reasons you should consider vacationing in North Carolina this summer season. Who knows, you might love it so much that you stay to see the beauty of the fall, or never leave at all. The choice is yours.
