Where can you find pencil case that’s also a lesson in engineering? Or an owl that turns into an elephant? The answer is ZIPIT!
ZIP it pencil cases, pouches and more, are unique, playful and so much fun! They come in many styles, with something for everyone. “Once upon a time, in a small town named Holon, there was a young industrial design student named Ishay. One day, during his third year of college, Ishay’s professor arrived in class and presented a challenge. “Your mission is to create a product that can be mass-produced, yet is simple and cleverly designed,” he said.
Ishay was inspired. He looked at two-dimensional objects that surrounded him, and thought, “I know! I’ll transform a 2D object into a 3D object”. After spending many days and nights experimenting with different raw materials, he had an idea.
He whipped out his sewing machine at once. Ishay made two simple modifications in the process of sewing a zipper, and the first bag made entirely out of one long zipper was born.
Years later, this creation came to be called the ZIPIT Zipper pencil case and inspired the start of our entire company.”
He took the pencil cases to the next level by adding fun embellishments that turn them into characters children can relate to. He also made fun accessories for women by turning them into versatile, roomy bags, also made from a fun zipper.
My favorite ZIPIT items, however, are not even from the zipper line – though I love those too. They are the adorable animal lunch bags and backpacks. These innovative and trendy bags convert from one animal to another. The features are made up of magnetic flaps that when opened magically transform. I can’t wait for my little one to start school so that he can use this! The backpack below can be a friendly penguin or a cuddly bear:
