Make Money Selling Your Used Goods Online

My sixteen-year-old son wanted me to buy him a car for his birthday. I try to teach my kiddos responsibility and prepare them for the real world outside mom and dads wallet. Over the years, my son has collected every game system, videos game for each system, enough DVD’s and BluRays to start his own video rental store as well as enough music CD’s to start a music store. Most of which just sit as he replaced one thing with something new, all on mom and dad of course. And, because my son is getting old enough to find out what life is really like outside our wallets, I made him a sweet little deal. Simply put, I told him I would match $2 for every one dollar he made on his own and put towards the car.

And, while he has a part-time job working at a fast food joint in town, it’s hardly enough to cover his gas let alone help buy his own car. After doing a little brainstorming together we decided he could sell the masses of game systems, video games, moves and Cd’s online as we figured he’d probably end up with a good chunk of money towards his new car. We’d recently heard of a site called MusicMagpie’s where you can sell your stuff online. We thought this was a great idea. At MusicMagpie’s you simply enter the barcode from the DVD, CD or Video Game you want to sell and it will give you a “value worth”. Once You’ve decided which items you want to sell you continue on with the process. The last step is to package it all up, print of the free shipping lable provided by MusicMagpie’s and either arrange a free pickup or, take it to your local UPS or USPS office and ship it FREE!

Once my son organized each item and decided what he wanted to sell he dove in. When it was all said and done, he had sold ever last piece. And he is now the proud owner of this cute PT Cruiser! Frankly, I”m proud of my son. He did all the work and took it all the the shipping store on his own. He saved every dime that he made and ended up with a grand total of $2,553! Yes I told him $2 for every $1 would be matched. BOY WAS I SORRY! But, I felt he had earned it.

There’s actually some great perks that come with selling on MusicMagpie’s site. First and foremost, FREE SHIPPING on all the items you sell. You simply print of the label they send you and take it to your local UPS or USPS whichever you choose. Or, you can simply schedule carrier pickup and they will come to your door and get the package from you! How cool is that! My son used this service several times when he was unable to get to the shipping stores.

My son inspired me to to clean out my closets and de-clutter my home! I literately had decades of music CD’s DVD’s and the like. I decided that since most of it just sat around collecting dust, I would sell mine too. I mean, who couldn’t use extra money right? While I didn’t cash out as high as my son, I did make a great deal of cash selling my stuff online!

If you’re like me, need that extra cash and have a house full of CD’s, DVD’s and video games, why not cash out? Clean out your closet,s storage units and you’ll be surprised what you’ll find and what it’s worth. As a blogger, I receive on average 200 DVD’s, BluRays, Video games and CD’s throughout the year. Most of which I watch, listen to or play once in order to write the review. Yesterday, I sat down with a pile of them and started finding out the value on MusicMagpie’s. I was shocked! This week, I will be organizing them and selling them all to MusicMagpie’s, I’d much rather have the cash then clean the dust off of them once a week.
