With the presence of theme parks, museums and Zoos and Aquariums, you have plenty of options to spend time. The main attraction for children are the Disneyland and the Universal Studio Hollywood. Apart from this, you can also visit beautiful Aquariums where children enjoy watching the sea life from a close proximity. It almost feels like you are standing at the bottom of the sea watching fishes and other sea creatures swimming beside you.

Here are some of the the places where you can enjoy with your children:

  • Aquarium of the Pacific Overview: This Aquarium is voted as the one of the best aquarium because of the exposure it provides to the children and adults to know the marine life. A visit to this aquarium is a learning experience for any age group. The wave shaped roof of this aquarium is a land mark on Rainbow Harbor at Long Beach since 1998. This aquarium has 12,500 specimens from over 550 species in its huge exhibit space. It is a mind blowing experience to view a recreated undersea environment of the Pacific ocean. You can view various seals, sea lions in the Aquarium, and children are welcome to touch the sea creatures such as sea urchins to Zebra sharks. For grown up kids and adults there is an opportunity to take some really cool behind the scene tours, and to interact with the animals.

If you want to take the studio tour, then there is tram ride that takes you around the studio sets and sound stages. This tour is only accessible through the theme park day pass, and cannot be booked separately. The theme park has physical rides (in a moving vehicle), virtual rides, interactive exhibits, carnival games, live action shows, special effects experience, playgrounds and encounters with characters.

  • Knott’s Berry Farm: It is one of the best theme parks in the west coast with a dignified history. It has over 165 rides and some of the wildest thrill rides.
