Aveeno Pure Renewal Beautiful Change Challenge Week 1

Mornings in the Dennis home tend to get a little crazy. With kiddos ranging in ages from 9 months to 7 years, I’m lucky if I get my first cup of coffee before 9am; much less time for the  ever needed, ever desired beautification treatment. Before I married and had my own boat-load I could stow on Noah’s Arc I would spend hours getting all prettied upGE DIGITAL CAMERA. I’d spend and hour at least doing my make-up till it was perfect, I’d make sure every hair was in it’s proper place, and my outfit would always rock! Now, my day doesn’t entail glamorous make-up routines and hair-dos.  I get maybe thirty-minutes a day to get the make-up on, get the hair presentable and dress myself in something that doesn’t scream “what not to wear”.  And frankly the whole “thirty-minutes” I get to pamper myself is more than I can spare.

Since taking the Avenno Pure Renewal Beautiful Change Challenge, I’ve cut my beauty routine down to fifteen-minutes and it’s pretty simply, a shower, lotion, a face cleans, followed by a tinted moisturizer with a “who cares what I wear” kind-of-attitude”. I have a baskets I take to the shower with me now and this is what I put in it so far.

  • Towel
  • Aveeno Lotion

I’m actually shocked that I”m happy with cutting down my time and doing less. Frankly, I much prefer using a tinted moisturize as to foundation. I’ve also noticed that even though I’m not doing some of the normal things I do during my beauty routine that my skin doesn’t feel dry. I’m actually pretty impressed with the Aveeno Daily Moisturizer.

Now, I get my coffee break fifteen minutes earlier than I did before the challenge. And believe me, it’s a much needed coffee break! I’m very much considering trying the Aveeno Hair products too!

Now, it’s actually healthy to wash your hair every day. AVEENO® PURE RENEWAL lets you renew your hair to its naturally balanced state daily. Unlike ordinary shampoos, these sulphate-free formulas have Balancing Seaweed Extract; bringing hair back to its naturally healthy, most balanced state with each wash, for beautifully healthy-looking hair.

Which is something my hair desperately needs. It’s become so dry and brittle that I can’t stand it. For one, I’ve always washed my hair daily, so that coupled with the blow dryer I’m sure has resulted in such harsh split-ends. After using the Aveeno Daily Moisturizer and seeing the results firsthand I’m so ready to try more of their products. And I’m going to start with my damaged hair.
